GIVERS is another of Glassnote’s impressive roster of artists. It’s truly one of those successful sound conglomerates that melds danceable, rootsy music with modern indie rock and even weaves in electronic elements that come as a pleasant surprise while remaining congruous. It’s well-crafted and uplifting. I love the spirited back-and-forth vocals between Taylor Guarisco and Tiffany Lamson. It’s easy to hear influences ranging from Vampire Weekend and Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeroes to Grouplove, Port O’Brien and The Head and the Heart. “Saw You First” is off the bands full-length debut, In Light.
