Leann Grimes is 24 year-old Shane Conerty from Asheville, NC. He remixes (and elaborates on) indie music without permission. It sounds a lot like Ratatat, but more familiar. Similarly, much of his work is solely instrumental. It’s not unrecognizable; most of the time he keeps the hooks. Still, it really reinvigorates the existing music. Finally, a version of “Shadow People” I can play at the club.
