P:ano was a Canadian band that you’ve probably never heard of that split up into a bunch of other Canadian bands that you also haven’t heard of. I stumbled across this gem in a film. A film that I downloaded illegally from the internet, complete with the “for screening purposes only” watermark and shitty resolution. And because that’s the only way you can get this film, I feel morally obligated to not mention it. It would sit comfortably in the credits or climax of a Wes Anderson film or commercial. I love the unrelenting piano (no pun intended), the sing-along chorus punctuated by enough saxophone to make it feel like this is a radio edit and ends too soon.
