Watching this video will give you a lot of insight as to what you might expect from them at their live show at Jack Rabbits on February 10th. It’s got a Tune-Yards vibe but without the weird, layered gender-bending vocals. I’m having a really hard time comparing them to anyone in particular, so you might want to check this out for yourself, in person. According to their press release regarding their latest effort, they should be right up everyone’s alley:
“It was recorded at DFA studios and produced by Eric Broucek (LCD Soundsystem, !!!, Holy Ghost) & mastered by Joe Lambert (Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Herbie Hancock).”
For the record, I do not normally endorse acts where there is a white dude with dreads involved.
