Somebody once posed the question, “If you could go back and see any band perform live in their prime, who would it be?” Of course thoughts of The Beatles and The Rolling Stones crossed my mind. I think I may have even toyed with The Who, thought about The Pixies (although their reunion tour was super rockin’) and for critical genre balance considered Otis Redding. But as soon as I contemplatd The Talking Heads, I had my answer. They have that truly coveted balance of making real art and real accessible, and often infectious music.

This Must Be the Place” seemed appropriate for Monday with it’s cautiously upbeat feel and lyrics about wanting to be home and allowing yourself to get a little lost in unconstrained thought, even when your logic department is trying to bring you back.

Best time and place for a listen: Anywhere that it would be socially inappropriate for you to be listening to music on headphones.

If this song were a celebrity it would be: Max from Where The Wild Things Are (and we’re going original book Max here).
