What can I say about Voxhaul Brodcast? This is one of those bands that I can’t believe isn’t HUGE right now. I mean, they’re radio-friendly while still keeping their musical integrity. This entire album is great. Every. Single. Song. I catch myself listening to this album more than just about any other album I own. I kinda kick myself for not making a song off this album one of my picks for “Best of 2011.” Beyond the music being up to snuff with lyrics to match, all these guys are really handsome! Like, the kind of handsome that would make you feel uncomfortable when standing beside them, especially David Dennis. I am pretty secure in my manliness, but DAMN! Do what you have to do to find “Timing is Everything” and the EP that came out before it, with one of my favorite songs of theirs – “The Echo” – on it. If you like the Walkmen, but wanted something a little more upbeat and dance-y, then this is for you; it’s like a mix between The Walkmen and The Rapture, but with better lyrics than The Rapture and not douche-y.
